Such a bright and beautiful malbec that’s been treated with kid gloves from the start. Hand-picking and hand-plunging before basket pressing into about a third new French oak. It has been bottled without filtering so might throw a little harmless crust. No matter, it is a marvellous example of this variety, showing the lively floral fruit characters and the exquisite medium weight flavour intensity. Outstanding.

Hand-picked, hand-plunged and hand-pressed. Aged in French oak for 18 months, 35% new. The dense purple colour offers an early insight. Deep, intense red and black fruit is the order of the day here. The high quality oak makes its spicy and savoury presence felt, as does the unrelenting tannin. It’s all about the future for this wine, and it should be interesting.
