The Vineyard

All the fruit that goes into the making of our wine comes from our 12 hectare vineyard planted in 1997 located in the Yallingup sub-region of the Margaret River Wine Region. The varietals grown on the House of Cards single vineyard include Cabernet Sauvignon, Shiraz, Merlot, Malbec, Petit Verdot, Chardonnay, Sauvignon Blanc and Viognier. Fresh sea breezes from the Indian Ocean provide unique and advantageous growing conditions. Vine orientation east to west allows an extra few weeks hang time, resulting in greater development and complexity of flavours.

To get the best 'hand' possible Trav utilises many organic
and biodynamic principles to improve soil health and vine
nutrition. As well as this the vineyard is dry grown and
cropped at low levels to increase concentration of
fruit flavours. The rest is up to Mother Nature.

Every vintage at the
vineyard is different.
